Moment massive brawl erupts at traffic lights as two gangs of armed thugs kick and smash each other's cars with metal poles

The shocking video shows the moment a massive brawl breaks out at a traffic light crossing, where two groups of armed thugs can be seen smashing each other's cars with metal poles. 

The footage that was taken from a nearby building shows four cars coming to a standstill at a traffic light crossing outside Empire Cinemas in Hendon, Sunderland. 

A group of men can be seen coming out of a silver vehicle further down the road as rivals smashed the car with metal poles.

The silver car can be seen fleeing the scene as the fight continues 

 More than ten men were involved in the incident that took place on Friday. 

They can be heard screaming and shouting as the silver car fled the scene.

The fight is then moved to the nearby pavement and the groups of men continue to shout. 

It is not known if anyone was injured.
