'Literally, get back on your flight to Footscray': Furious AFL WAG explodes at 'selfish' team for treating league coronavirus hub like a 'western suburbs nightclub' after losing in the first week of the finals

The girlfriend of an AFL star has unleashed on a rival team for partying and playing loud music in the league's quarantine hub after losing in the finals.

Tenisha Crook was staying with her partner, Richmond Tigers midfielder Jack Higgins, at the RACV Royal Pines Resort on the Gold Coast last week when she snapped at players from the Western Bulldogs.

In an Instagram video, the glamorous blonde called the players 'idiots' and 'little losers' for keeping her up late.

'Just because they've gotten knocked out – are treating it like a western suburbs nightclub,' she said.

The players were 'having a few beers' in the luxury hub last Monday after their season ended when they lost to St Kilda three days earlier.

In the short clip, Ms Crook said she had already complained to security about the noise but the group were still being loud.

'I opened my door shortly, because I heard some moving around, and I saw the security guard,' Crook said.

'I said, ''Hey, can you hear that music? It's really loud, we can hear it right through our walls'', because I could still hear the music after he told them off.

'He said, ''Yeah, we've just told them off (and to) turn their music down''. Little losers have turned it up louder in spite of this.

'I wouldn't go off about something like this, but Richmond and Geelong are training for their finals that are in two or three days.

'Probably doing their final session of training that is extremely important for a final, and these idiots – just because they've gotten knocked out – are treating it like a western suburbs nightclub.

'How selfish can you be? Literally get on your flight back to Footscray, or wherever the f*** you live. It just makes me so mad.'

Others claimed the partying went on 'all night' and that Disco lights were involved.

However, Dogs officials said the incident was overblown, saying the only issue was the loud music.

They told the Herald Sun they had no issue with how their players behaved.

The team checked out of the resort the following day.

Fourteen teams relocated to special football bubbles in Queensland and Western Australia to ensure the season continued during Melbourne's horror coronavirus outbreak.

Most of the AFL season for 2020 has been played in Queensland, where hubs were set up throughout the state from Cairns to the Gold Coast to allow teams to play against one another in spite of COVID-19 restrictions.

The Queensland government came under fire for allowing AFL hubs to go ahead while at the same time denying entry into the state for devastated families wanting to visit sick and dying relatives.

The AFL reportedly paid up to $3million a week to house 458 players and families in high-class locations including the 4.5 star Mercure Gold Coast Resort in Carrara.
