EXCLUSIVE: 'I can see him!' Ex-NFL star Vernon Davis surprises partially blind brain tumor survivor and Dancing with the Stars superfan Sophie, 7, with a video call after the 'miracle' little girl regained her sight

Big-hearted Dancing with the Stars hunk Vernon Davis surprised partially blind brain tumor survivor Sophie Ryan with an impromptu video call to the delight of the little girl, DailyMailTV can reveal.

In an exclusive video, former NFL superstar Vernon is seen calling Sophie after performing on the hit show last Monday to see if she tuned in - and the thrilled seven-year-old immediately asked the star to be her boyfriend.

Doctors dubbed Sophie a walking miracle after she overcame multiple brain surgeries after being diagnosed with an optic pathway glioma brain tumor as a baby.

Initially medics told her mother Tracy that the tumor would not respond well to chemotherapy - and all they could do was to prevent further growth.

But Sophie's life changed when talk show host Ricki Lake, and her documentary film partner Abby Epstein, connected to her family and asked them to take part in a film called Weed the People, about the medicinal benefits of cannabis.

Sophie's family decided to try the controversial new treatment and using a combination of high-THC and high-CBD cannabis oils along with chemotherapy saw spectacular results.

A video shared with DailyMailTV shows Sophie watching Vernon dance, and it's the first time she's been able to see the show since her sight returned earlier this year.

She's heard screaming: 'Oh my gosh mommy it's Vernon, I can see him.'

Sophie was wowed by the former NFL tight end who she said was 'very handsome' and at the end of the routine the little girl excitedly shouted: 'Good job Vernon.'

Vernon, who won Super Bowl 50 with the Denver Broncos in 2016, impressed Monday night with a sensual foxtrot with partner Peta Murgatroyd.

Judge Bruno Tonioli described the dance as 'sizzling' and the pair earned enough points to make it into the second week of the competition.

The following day Sophie, who is a huge Dancing with the Stars fan, was surprised by her favorite dancer on Zoom who took time out from rehearsals to call her.
