Big-hearted Dancing with the Stars hunk Vernon Davis surprised partially blind brain tumor survivor Sophie Ryan with an impromptu video call to the delight of the little girl, DailyMailTV can reveal.
In an exclusive video, former NFL superstar Vernon is seen calling Sophie after performing on the hit show last Monday to see if she tuned in - and the thrilled seven-year-old immediately asked the star to be her boyfriend.
Doctors dubbed Sophie a walking miracle after she overcame multiple brain surgeries after being diagnosed with an optic pathway glioma brain tumor as a baby.
Initially medics told her mother Tracy that the tumor would not respond well to chemotherapy - and all they could do was to prevent further growth.
But Sophie's life changed when talk show host Ricki Lake, and her documentary film partner Abby Epstein, connected to her family and asked them to take part in a film called Weed the People, about the medicinal benefits of cannabis.
