'That looks like an engagement ring!' Married At First Sight's Martha Kalifatidis sends fans into a frenzy as she debuts a massive diamond sparkler in a loved-up selfie with beau Michael Brunelli

They are one of the very few Married At First Sight success stories, who have remained together ever since filming wrapped and this month celebrated their two-year anniversary.

And on Friday, Martha Kalifatidis and Michael Brunelli had fans assuming they got engaged, when she debuted a diamond sparkler on her finger, in an Instagram post.

The 31-year-old brunette beauty drew attention to a sizeable ring in a series of candid shots, as she packed on the PDA with her reality star beau.

On close inspection however, Martha wore the ring on her middle finger, and not the wedding ring finger.

In the photos taken presumably at their home in Sydney's Bondi, the casually dressed couple nestled in close to one another, with Michael nuzzling into her neck.

Referencing their goofy nature in the pictures, Martha captioned the post: 'One of us is an idiot'.

Fans flocked to the comments section, noting how they initially thought it was an engagement announcement.

One wrote: 'My heart stopped thinking that ring was on your ring finger, hurry up Michael! I'm starting to hallucinate with wishful thinking'.

'I actually thought the ring was on another finger,' another wrote, as well as one more who said: 'I thought this was an engagement announcement post!'

Yet another added: 'Did he accidentally put it in the wrong finger?' while someone else wrote: 'That looks like an engagement ring to me?'

Speaking to Daily Mail Australia back in June, Martha admitted that while they may appear stronger than ever, things aren't always perfect behind closed doors.

The former makeup artist-turned-influencer revealed the surprising issue that puts 'high pressure' on their relationship.

Martha said that living and working alongside each other from home as social media influencers can create tension.

'Look, sometimes it can be high pressure but for the most part we have it down to a fine science,' she explained.

Martha and Michael film, edit and produce each other's content.

They earn their full-time income via sponsored fashion and makeup posts, fitness videos, cooking tutorials and other branded content, mostly all created from the comfort of their North Bondi home.

When asked how the couple have maintained their popularity on social media after their season of the show aired, Martha believes it's all down to one reason.

'I feel like we're really real. We're pretty vulnerable on Instagram and raw, and I think that's why people can relate to us, because we're not perfect,' she said.

'Nothing in our lives is perfect. Everything is a work-in-progress, and I feel like the majority can relate to that.

'I guess you never really feel lonely either. If you're having a bad day, someone will write something to you and you'll feel good.'
