Another clipper approaches with increasing clouds and some snow showers

A clipper system will pass just south of the region today, brushing some locations with a few flurries or snow showers this afternoon. High pressure will then build in for the second half of the weekend with chilly temperatures and breezy conditions continuing. A much larger storm system then looks to approach by late Monday into Tuesday with a mix of rain and snow, and some snow accumulations possible for most of the region.

A year after a young Chinese mother living in Missouri with her family vanished without a trace, police have resumed the search for her body. Mengqi Ji Elledge, 28, was reported missing by her husband, Joseph Elledge, on October 10, 2019. He was charged in February with first-degree murder in her death and has pleaded not guilty.
